Day 100

September 14, 2022

Wednesday

LRM 509.5

1785 miles completed

I paddled 27 miles today.

I scheduled today for an easy day. I spent the night at Park Neff‘s guest house. I took my time getting up and getting ready to go. We left at 10 o’clock and Park took me back to the river. He help me unload my gear. I packed up and got out of there about 10:30. While I was loading up I met a fisherman named Bill Lancaster. I am really proud of myself for remembering his name. He challenged me to remember it all the way to the Greenville River bridge.

That’s about all I have to write about today. I can report on the weather. It was a hot cloudless day all day. I took three breaks during the day. The last 5 miles I didn’t see any barges. I stopped to camp on a sandbar at 5:30.
