Day 14 on the Mississippi River

Saturday, Labor Day Weekend

Cass Lake to Becker Resort

It was a beautiful sunny day on the river. This was the first time we hadn’t seen the sun in 3 days. We knew were going only 9 miles. The plan was to shower and do laundry, then get a full day to attack Lake Winnie.

We took our time and let the westerly wind and the current do the work. Once we went a half mile without paddling.

We saw two bald eagles today. There was one brief shower.

We got our nine miles and it was the easiest day we have had.
