Day 18 on the Mississippi River

We paddled 11 miles from Gamblers point to the home Sandy and Jeff Bromenschenkel. It was a partly cloudy day with a lot of wind. Most of the time it was blowing our way.

Sandy and Jeff are really nice. They are River Angels. They let us be shower and do laundry. Then they took us out to dinner. After dinner they took us to Walmart and waited while we re-supplied. After shopping the drove us to see the long portage for the Paper Mill Dam. After that they took us to the camp ground so we could select a campsite for tomorrow night in Grand Rapids. We reserved a site online…site number 10.

Since we reserved a campsite we are committed to paddle 19 miles and portage to the campground.
