We took a zero day.
It started raining right after we woke. We sat around camp waiting for the rain to end. Steve, one of the park rangers, came by and told us we could wait in the log house that is used for groups. One thing led to another and we ended up staying in the cabin all night. It has a fireplace and lots of free firewood. Doug, the other ranger, came by late in the day and said we had to be out by 7:00 am because the cabin was reserved.
We ordered food delivered from Pizza Ranch.
We got everything dried out. I made a couple of repairs to my equipment. We cleaned the mud off our stuff.
We got in touch with Lee Bergstrom and he just happened to be nearby. He drove over to the park to meet us. We hope to stay with him Sunday night.
We kept the fire going all night.
Serendipity at its best...
Nice fire. 😊🔥
