River Boat Depot

We paddled about nine miles to the Sartell Dam. The portage there was not difficult to takeout. It is just a really long walk to a good place to put in. On the long walk we came upon a bar named River Boat Depot. As we were passing my kayak turned in to the parking lot. And that is as far as we got for the day.

Lee Bergstrom took me to Walmart for supplies. Then he took me to see the rapids so I could plan our route.

We met a lot of nice people at the bar. One person we met was one of the owners, Jody. Jody let us camp behind the bar.

We also met Katrina Clifton and Dan Wilson. They live on the river a little farther down. They offered to let us camp at their place, but it was already late so we stayed at the bar.
