Tent camping in Iowa

We awoke refreshed and well rested. All our clothes were clean an so were we, thanks to our good friend Bobbi Rathert.

We got started paddling around 8:45 and locked through dam number 8 by 12:30.

We ate lunch on the Wisconsin side at the end of the locks.

We stopped at the Iowa/Minnesota border at 2:30 and took pictures.

The weather was very nice for us, even though it was cloudy. The temperature was pleasant. I got down to short sleeves. There was a light breeze at our backs. After we passed the dam there was a little bit of current helping us along.

We stopped for the day around 4:30 and camped on the Iowa side in a spot that had been used before. There was firewood cut, split, and stacked.

We had Chicken Alfredo Noodle soup.
