Day 96
September 10, 2022
Saturday
LRM 616.5
1679 miles completed
I don’t have much to write about today.
I started late and stopped early. Everything was wet from the storm and I was working on drying things out. Everything‘s dry now. I patched up my tent. I patched it as well as I could without a sewing machine.
It was cloudy all day. There was a little bit of a misty rain at one time. I wore my raincoat and splash skirt part of the day. Then it warmed up later in the day.
I found a nice sand bar campsite around 4:30. It’s exactly like being at the beach except there is no surf. Oh wait, there’s surf, every time a barge goes by.
I was lucky enough to have a little bit of cell service where I camped tonight. I had enough signal strength to post my blog, but not enough signal strength to put pictures with it. Perhaps I will post a bunch of pictures later when I have sufficient signal strength. I will make myself a note to do this.
I had instant mashed potatoes with my tuna tonight. The tuna seems a little salty so I didn’t eat it all, and I drank an extra 500 mL of water. I don’t want another episode.
I sat in my camp chair and watched the sunset. The sunset was colorful, but it was too cloudy to actually see the sun.
There will probably be a sewing machine available and waiting down river. Stay safe and dig hard my friend...hope you get to the Pig.
